The Two Year Post-Baccalaureate Masters Program

Who

The 2-year program is for students who have already completed a bachelor's degree.

Students can enter the program from a number of disciplines, including administration, agriculture, architecture, business, construction science, economics, ecology, education, engineering, geology, geography, government, human ecology, landscape architecture, pre-law, planning, political science and sociology, among others.

Course Work

The degree is completed in 48 hours over two years, with opportunities for specializations. For more information, see:

The Five Year Non-Baccalaureate Masters Program

Who

The 5-year program is for students who have not yet received a degree.

Students can apply to the Department of Landscape Architecture/Regional and Community Planning as transfer students from other departments or as first year Environmental Design students from within the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design.

Students typically apply during the second semester of their first year of college. Students can apply up until completion of three years of study.

Course Work

The degree is completed with 3 years (102 hours) of undergraduate coursework and 2 years (48 hours) of graduate level coursework.

MRCP 2-Year Post-Bacc Program

Applications for entrance to the post-baccalaureate program for domestic students holding a bachelor's degree are due by July 1st (February 1st for international students).

MRCP 5-Year Non-Bacc Program

Students may apply to enter the program from any college or department at K-State, typically during the second semester of their first year, or anytime before they complete 3 years of study. Acceptance is competitive due to limited space. See more details.

Manhattan is a growing community (population of 50,000+) located in the Flint Hills region of Kansas. It is approximately 1 hour west of the state capitol of Topeka and 2 hours west of Kansas CIty.

With a history dating back to 1855, Manhattan is home to a historic downtown and the Aggieville shopping and dining district. Scenic attractions include the Konza Prairie Preserve, Tuttle Creek Lake, Colbert Hills Golf Course, and many trails and public parks.
