SPA Open House Events
SPA will be spreading the word about the Regional and Community Planning program at K-State Open House on Saturday April 18th.
SPA will be holding events in "Seaton Square" and Seaton 301, located on the 3rd floor, center wing of Seaton Hall. Events include music, refreshments, and displays all day, as well as a raffle of CAPD merchandise and presentations on student projects.
Planning students will set up for the events on Friday afternoon and be present to greet guests throughout the day on Saturday.
April SPA Meeting - Fiesta!

SPA held a meeting and social event on Wednesday April 1st. Attendees discussed preparations for K-State Open House on Saturday April 18th and the APA National Convention. The group enjoyed Mexican-themed refreshments and games organized by our social chair.
Members also signed up to buy newly designed t-shirts ($11) to wear at upcoming events!

2009 APA National Conference, April 25-29

SPA is getting ready for the 2009 American Planning Association National Conference in Minneapolis in late April.
Six K-State students attended the 2008 Conference in Las Vegas and participated in educational sessions, toured the planning expo, volunteered, explored the city, and had a blast.

Register for the conference. Early deadline ($100 for students) is March 3. Regular deadline ($120 for students) is March 26.
Sign up to volunteer for 8 hours and earn back the cost of registration. Deadline is March 26, but sign up ASAP.
Spring DesignExpo - February 23-24

K-State's College of Architecture, Planning, and Design just concluded its annual spring career and internship fair. DesignExpo allows students to meet dozens of potential employers without leaving K-State's campus.
Students utilized the DesignExpo site for information on participating employers, dates & times, volunteer information, and resume preparation advice.
Still looking for a summer job? Don't forget to make use of K-State Career and Employment Services website for information on resume building events and how to schedule an appointment.

February SPA Meeting
The Student Planning Association held its first meeting under the leadership of our new officer team on February 16. The meeting agenda included:
