Welcome!

The Department of Interior Architecture and Product Design (IAPD) is housed within the greater College of Architecture, Planning, and Design (CAPD) on the main campus of Kansas State University, located in Manhattan, Kansas. The five-year and one summer program in Interior Architecture and Product Design now leads to a First Professional Master’s Degree,  following the successful completion of 169 credit-hours of study, comprising one of four professional degree-granting programs within the College.

The program has been recognized as one of the ten curricula in Interior Design in the nation by DesignIntelligence 2010, a publication of the Design Futures Council.   Its enrollment of approximately 120 is taught by a full-time departmental faculty of  thirteen dedicated individuals who provide a great deal of  personal attention.

The program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA, formerly FIDER).
