Unloading Your Exhibit/Parking (not completely updated for spring 2010)

PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!

General Information:

*NEVER park in a handicapped, service or reserved stall on the KSU campus.

*CAPD DesignExpo is NOT responsible for any parking tickets received when these instructions are not followed.

*If you are staying overnight at the Holiday Inn at the Campus (17th and Anderson Avenue, across the street from campus and diagonally across the intersection from the K-State Alumni Center), please plan to leave your car at the hotel and walk. 

*Two CAPD shuttle vans will be moving continuously between the KSU Foundation and the K-State Student Union during check-in (8-10a) and take-down (3-7p) on Monday, February 15, 2010.

*In addition, a KSU shuttle service van departs every half hour from the KSU Foundation and runs to the K-State Student Union (from 8a-5p weekdays). These vans will NOT be prepared to take your booth materials.

*A KSU shuttle service van departs every 30 minutes from the K-State Student Union (circle between Union and Seaton) and runs to the KSU Foundation (from 7:53a-4:53p weekdays).  These vans will NOT be prepared to take your booth materials.

For arrival on Sunday, February 14, 5-7p:

*Enter the campus from Anderson Avenue via Mid-Campus Drive (between the parking garage construction and Nichols/Kedzie Halls).

*Pull to the lefthand curb on the east side of the K-State Student Union (where the road takes a sharp righthand turn).

*CAPD student volunteers located there will help you unload booth materials from your vehicle and take them to your booth in the Ballroom. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR.

*As soon as your car has been unloaded, follow Mid-Campus Drive past the south end of Anderson Hall, then straight ahead (east) and Mid-Campus Drive becomes Vattier Street. Continue down the hill until you see parking lots on both the right and left.  You may park in either of these lots, but DO NOT PARK IN A HANDICAPPED, RESERVED OR SERVICE STALL.

*Walk back up the hill to the K-State Student Union and come to the Ballroom on the second floor to check in and set up your booth.

*Be sure and pick up a parking permit at the registration table for parking the next day (unless you are staying at the Holiday Inn).

For arrival on Monday, February 15, 8-10a:

*Drive to the KSU Foundation, 2323 Anderson Avenue. 

*Locate one of the two CAPD vans in the parking area to the south (left) of the building. 

*Obtain a guest parking permit from the CAPD student volunteers located there and park. 

*CAPD student volunteers located there will help you unload booth materials from your vehicle and reload them into one of our complimentary shuttle vans.  The van will take both you and your materials to the Mid-Campus Drive (east) entrance to the K-State. 

*You will be met outside the east K-State Student Union entrance by additional CAPD student volunteers who will unload your booth materials and take them and you to the K-State Student Union Ballroom. 

*Stop at the DesignExpo registration table at the Ballroom entrance and register.

*CAPD student volunteers will take your booth materials on to your booth location.

For departure on Monday, February 15, 3-7p:

*CAPD student volunteers will be available to help take your booth materials to the east entrance of the K-State Student Union and load them into one of our complimentary shuttle vans.

*CAPD shuttle vans will run continuously to transport you and your booth materials to the KSU Foundation Center, 2323 Anderson Avenue. No volunteers will be available to help get your booth materials out of the shuttle vans and into your vehicle.
